Israel<\/h4>\n

We are Yoyakim and Debbie Figueras.
\nWe live in Israel, in the southern city of Arad, which is in the desert, not too far from the Dead Sea. We have 6 children between the ages of 12 and 26.<\/p>\n

The Lord brought us to serve Him in different ways in our area. On the one hand, we work with African refugee children (Sudanese). On the other \u2013 reaching out to the Muslim Bedouin population. They used to be nomadic up to a few decades ago.<\/p>\n

Most of what we do is through \u201cBarnaba \u2013 Israel\u201d. It\u2019s an NGO which we helped establish in the early 2000s. With us there\u2019s a whole team of volunteers and workers \u2013 each using his or her own giftings.<\/p>\n

It is a joy for us to be tools in the Lord\u2019s hands \u2013 to bring the love of Christ to these very different peoples.<\/p>\n

We pray that we might be the face of Jesus to all whom we serve.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty and a fearsome, who regardeth not persons nor taketh reward. He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger in giving him food and raiment. Love ye therefore the stranger, for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
